Call to worship
From Psalm 86:
There is none like you among the gods, O Lord,
nor are there any works like Yours.
All the nations You have made shall come
and worship before You, O Lord,
and shall glorify Your name.
For You are great and do wondrous things; You alone are God.
confession of sin
Based off of Micah 6:8
Lord, you require us to do justice,
yet we participate in the injustice of the world.
You require us to love mercy, yet we often practice cruelty
You ask us to walk humbly with you,
yet often we walk in the shadow of our pride
Father, forgive us for our disobedience.
Assurance of pardon
Isaiah 53:4-6
Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.
All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
In Christ, God answers us and sets us free.
In Christ, we are forgiven! Thanks be to God.
offering prayer
King Jesus use these offerings to advance Your Kingdom in the world.
May they help realign our allegiance to you
and help us to acknowledge the bankruptcy
and broken promises of materialism.
May they bless others as you have blessed us
and may they help to loosen our grip on things that will not last
and tune our hearts to what is eternal.
You are generous and kind, gracious and good.
We thank you and we bless you.
We pray this in your glorious name, Amen
