When Visiting HOPE COMMUNITY Church

At Hope Community Church you can expect to be greeted warmly—though not in a way that makes you uncomfortable. We won't single you out as a visitor. You can expect to hear people sing joyfully around you, some raising their hands. You can expect to hear a sermon from the Bible that is centered on Jesus - there is no other subject more worthy of note than Jesus Christ. Nothing matters more than the love of God demonstrated on the cross of Christ where his death, burial, and resurrection secured forgiveness for sins, freedom from past shame, and hope for the future for all who will trust him of their salvation. So that is what we spend our time on. Expect to leave not with a burden on your shoulders because you need to try harder or do more, but with a sense of hope as you engage the good news of what Jesus has done for you.

We love for children to sing and pray with adults so many of our children stay with their parents during the first part of the service before they are dismissed to go to a class where they hear about the good news of Jesus in an age appropriate manner. We are offer kid's classes through 5th Grade. You can learn more about our children's ministry here.

We usually take time in the service for prayer. Our hope is that you get a chance to both be prayed for and also to participate in a time of prayer. We also aim to take communion every Sunday, which is a reminder for Christians of what Jesus has done for them. We invite anyone who is trusting in Jesus for their salvation to take communion with us and we do it in a way that people who are still seeking and asking questions about Christianity don’t feel singled out or awkward. It is a great time to pray and consider the claims of Jesus.

Feel free to dress casually at Hope if you'd like.  People will come in everything from Chiefs t-shirts and jeans to dresses and suits.

Our main entrance is on the West side of the building where there is the most parking. There is an elevator entrance just a few feet North of the main door. There will be someone to greet you at the door to point you in the right direction.

If you have other questions about our services or our church or what it means to have a relationship with Jesus please reach out. You can fill out a connection card or contact anyone on our staff page and we would love to get to know you and answer any questions you may have.
